TFR & Tradebank
The Flooring Room has been involved with Trade Bank – a program set up to specifically look after the trades side of the Healthy Homes Initiative. This is a program which has been contracted by The Bay of Plenty District Health Board to bring properties up to standard when they have issues that could affect the occupants. Insulation, heating, crowding, dampness, bedding, curtains, ventilation, and flooring are all factors that can lead to respiratory illnesses.

The Flooring Room provides warehouse space for many second-hand heaters that are collected, allowing them to stay in a dry, safe area until winter approaches and it’s time for distributing. Furthermore, a range of carpet and installation service/time has been donated to the cause so that families can enjoy dry, mould-free flooring.
This is an initiative The Flooring Room is proud to be involved with and are glad to play a part in helping struggling families in the community move forward in healthier, happier living environments.
